Intra-Oral Camera, Dentist's Third Eye

      Intra-oral digital camera provides great help to dentist during dental examinations.  It captures still images for future review, patient consultation, as well as insurance pre-estimate applications.  It lets dentist see hard-to-reach area in great clarity.  A picture is worth a thousand words. After seeing the condition of his or her teeth, patient understands why a particular treatment is proposed.  Patients no longer just trust the dentist, they can also trust their eyes.

     Intra-oral images alone, however, cannot be used as the only information to make a diagnosis.  It has to be combined with dental X-ray information, as well as other more specialized test results to reach a diagnosis.
